Asda says inflation took £10 March toll

 
Supermarket giant Asda has recalled thousands of paper shredders after customers complained they were getting electric shocks.

Households across the UK were a tenner worse off in March due to high inflation, according to supermarket Asda’s last income tracker.

Average disposable incomes were down by 6.5% on a year earlier to £144 a week, although London fared better than the average with a 5.3% drop. Londoners have the biggest weekly disposable income at £266.
