Millard takes over top job at Halfords

SatNav to bicycles retailer Halfords has recruited Dennis Millard as its new chairman to replace Richard Pym who went off to run the ill-fated Bradford & Bingley last August.

B&B was nationalised a month after Pym's arrival. Millard is also chairman of Smiths News and a non-executive director at Premier Farnell, Xchanging and Debenhams.
