The Mayfair nightclub which hit headlines when it sold a bottle of bubbly for a staggering six-figure sum is up for sale.

The One For One venue in Park Lane was a hotspot for such A-list stars as Sadie Frost and Suki Waterhouse.

Its doors closed in 2014, but in 2011 it broke records when it sold American gambler Don Johnson a Midas (40 bottles) of Armand De Brignac weighing 45kg and holding 30 litres for £120,000 — the most ever paid for a bottle of champagne in a bar.

It is understood that it shut after a difference of opinion between the bar owners over the club’s future.

The private overseas leasehold owner has now decided to sell up. Property agent Davis Coffer Lyons has been hired to seek offers for the long lease at a rent of £225,000 per year.

The firm’s director Jonathan Moradoff told the Standard: “This could be the perfect opportunity for overseas club operators and UK investors who want to make money in a prestigious location where hedge-fund managers, bankers and celebrities will flock to.”
