Scott Wilson shares hit record high in bidding war

Shares in Scott Wilson rose 7p to hit a record high of 260p today, as the bidding war for the British design consultancy heated up.

CH2M Hill, a US engineering company, yesterday trumped an offer from US rival URS for the group, which is helping to design the Crossrail train line.

Today URS said it is considering raising its initial 210p per share offer to match or beat CH2M Hill's 245p.
