Napoleon’s Rabbit Farmer – Bonaparte’s Journey
by Robert Jackson

(Jackson Press, £2.36 as eBook)

We all know Napoleon got beaten at Waterloo, but what happened to him after that?

As someone who loves history I was fascinated by Robert Jackson’s story of how the Little Emperor who once ruled the whole of Europe was penned up on a tiny island in the middle of the ocean.

It’s all the details that make it a great read; the intrigue between the members of his tiny court, his longing to see his wife and son again, his pent-up fury at his British jailers.

And then you get caught up in his slow decline, and keep wondering “so was someone poisoning him?”

I read it all from start to finish in a couple of sessions, which is rare for me with any book.

Vive L’Empereur!
