London’s Got No Talent 2016: spoof contest aims to find the capital’s weird and wonderful abilities

Satirist Mark Biddiss is urging “no-talent” Londoners to get involved
Simon Fowl: will you put yourself in front of the judges of London's Got No Talent?

Bosses of a spoof talent contest have launched an appeal to find the capital’s daftest and most surreal acts.

Unusual performers are being urged to sign up to London’s Got No Talent.

Like the ITV show of a similar name, acts will be judged before a live audience to see if they have what organisers call the winning “no-talent” formula.

Previous contestants have included a chilli powder-snorting singer and a pensioner screaming Amy Winehouse’s hit Rehab in the style of Yoko Ono. First rounds begin in Greenwich on May 28, with the final in December. The least talented act wins a holiday for two.

The contest is run by satirist Mark Biddiss, who also organises the annual London Pantomime Horse Race.
