John Frankenheimer's film has an awful lot of snow (and some Santa Clauses too, all dead ones).
Perhaps releasing such a seasonable attraction in midsummer accounts for the original title, Reindeer Games, being changed to Deception. It's nothing special at any season, but passes the time as Ben Affleck, ex-con, gets lured into a casino heist by Charlize Theron and her monstrous brother (Gary Sinese) who turns him at one point into a human dart board.
A bull's-eye? An outer, we think.
