Judy Moody And The Not Bummer Summer

10 April 2012

Little Judy (Jordana Beatty) wants to enjoy the summer but her best friend is going to Borneo and her well-scrubbed parents are off to California.

She is left with Aunt Opal (Heather Graham) and together they have a myriad of slightly dotty adventures. Apart from showing us an America that certainly doesn't exist now, and probably never did, this kids' film, torn from Megan McDonald's bestselling books, has a poor screenplay and unconvincing direction.

Only the children manage to survive it. The adults are totally plastic throughout.
