Lluis Homar stars in To Die In San Hilario

A crook (Lluis Homar) arrives with his swag in the small town of San Hilario, Argentina, where he is thought to be a dying man come to be buried there.
San Hilario has a noted cemetery and its inhabitants think the swag will go to the town on his death.
Laura Maña's film is a kind of Buñuelian comedy but lacking in the master's extraordinary skill to wipe the smile off our faces in an instant.
It is rather stodgily made, even if the little town and the locals, including a neurotic priest and his pretty assistant, have a charm of their own.
