Pammy will go bald

10 April 2012

Former Baywatch actress Pamela Anderson will lose her blonde hair when she has chemotherapy-style treatment for hepatitis C.

She is desperate to find a cure for the disease, allegedly contracted when she and ex-husband Tommy Lee were tattooed with the same needle. She will begin the treatment in December.

Anderson, 35, told a US chat show: 'When I was first diagnosed, I thought I was dying. You start facing your mortality. I read up on it and thought there was no cure. It really scared me but then I learned about Interferon, which is similar to chemotherapy. Your hair falls out and you feel very sick. It is like having the flu for a year.'

She said she was not worried about side-effects, joking : 'I'm going to become a poster girl for hepatitis C!'
