Catfish And The Bottlemen, The Wombats and Slaves are to headline a new one-day festival in Finsbury Park.

The acts will perform at the first Community Festival on July 1. It has been organised by Festival Republic, the team behind several events, including V Festival and Latitude.

Announcing the event, Festival Republic’s Melvin Benn said: “Finsbury Park has been a real hub for live music for many decades, so we can’t think of anywhere better to launch a new music festival in London.”

The show will be Catfish And The Bottlemen's only festival appearance on mainland England this year and will the last chance for fans to catch the band in the UK for a while, as shortly after Community, they're scheduled to head to the USA for a two-month stadium tour supporting Green Day.

For The Wombats, the show will come as part of a mini-tour celebrating 10 years since their debut album, A Guide to Love, Loss & Desperation.

Other bands on the guitar-leaning lineup include Nothing But Thieves, The Hunna, Darlia, Fickle Friends and Redfaces.

Tickets go on sale tomorrow at 10am, costing £35. For details, visit communityfestival.london
