Mike Graham and Mike Parry are heading to London as part of their "World Tour"
The pair, who've attracted a cult following as the hosts of talkSPORT radio show The Two Mikes, have left their booth and set off on a "world tour". Having conquered Portsmouth, they're headed to St James's Theatre in Victoria on June 7.
Though known for their nightly sports broadcast, their upcoming theatre show will see them settle in with a bottle of wine (ok, more like two or three), sharing light-hearted stories from their careers and doing their best to one-up the other during an evening of what they call "verbal jousting".
"Porky" Parry and and "Old MG" Graham, both former newspaper journalists who worked for the likes of the Sun, the Express and the Scottish Daily Mirror, will recount tales from their times reporting on everything from Bill Clinton to the Mafia to the IRA.
The radio hosts say the show is a "no-holds barred conversation that takes in the pair's adventures chasing celebrities, politicians and assorted crooks" and predict "the personal barbs" will provide the highlights of the show.
As well as personal stories and spiky repartee, the two Mikes will re-live some of their drunken memories of Fleet Street as it once was, when newspaper reporters would spend all afternoon in the pub after filing stories, and will, of course, try to top each other's obscure knowledge.
