The second round of heats for Celebrity MasterChef 2016 has once against seen a mix of quality and questionable cooking.

Blue singer Simon Webbe was rightfully sent home after the first episode, serving up takes on classic Caribbean and Jamaican dishes that, according to Gregg Wallace and John Torode, lacked spice and flavour.

That left four contestants to fight it out in the next episode – but only two will make it into the semi-finals.

In Thursday night’s show, the celebs were tasked with taking on the notoriously tricky relay invention test, before the mass catering challenge took them to Battersea Power Station.

While it was Radio 4 presenter Reverend Richard Coles and rugby player Neil Back who impressed the judges in their first episode, EastEnders’ Laila Morse, aka Big Mo, put in a strong effort at Battersea.

Now, in the final part of the second heats, Richard, Neil, Laila, and Sugababes singer Amelle Berrabah have one last chance to impress Gregg and John.

They’ll have to whip up a flawless two-course meal that won’t just please the judges, but also a selection of previous Celebrity MasterChef winners – from Phil Vickery to Sam Nixon.
