The week of Eurovision continues tonight with the second semi-final, determining who’ll be in the main event on Saturday night.

Taking the stage tonight are 17 acts, all hoping for a shot at the big-time, with the UK being one of the countries allowed to cast votes on who’ll make it through.

Here are three acts to keep an eye out for during tonight’s show, including an Avicii-esque EDM number, an edgy FKA Twigs-esque bass-filled R&B sulker, and Israel’s answer to Ed Sheeran.

Sweden: Måns Zelmerlöw - Heroes

The odds-on favourite to win the entire competition, it would be a travesty if Sweden’s Måns Zelmerlöw didn’t make it through the second semi-final. It’s perfect Eurovision fare – a cheesy Avicii-alike EDM beat, an undeniably infectious chorus, and brilliantly ridiculous lyrics (“I make worms turn into butterflies”).

Latvia: Aminata – Love Injected

One for the hipsters here – imagine if FKA Twigs entered Eurovision, and you’re halfway there. High-pitched R&B vocals over sparse electronic beats with additional arm-wafting are the order of the day, with a hefty bass rumble in the belting chorus and a few dubstep wob-wob-wobs towards the end. It’s not the most energetic track the competition’s ever seen, but it’s a very 2015 sound.

Israel: Nadav Guedj – Golden Boy

Ever wondered what an Isreali version of Ed Sheeran would sound like? Of course Eurovision has the answer – Nadav Guedj’s infectious Golden Boy has the choppy acoustic guitars and R&B swagger of the ginger-mopped muppet, with a Jason Derulo-esque chorus. “I’m the king of fun, let me show you how we do it,” he correctly sings, injecting a bit of bounce among the many dull sub-Conchita ballads.
