A woman was shocked to discover her husband enjoying a coffee with another woman in the background of a scene in the most recent episode of The Apprentice.
Londoner Rosa Silverman was sent a screenshot, by a ‘sharp-eyed friend’ who had been watching the episode, showing her husband and baby having a drink with a mystery woman in a Brixton café.
Silverman, a features journalist at the Daily Telegraph, wrote in the publication: “a particularly sharp-eyed friend quickly took a screen-grab and sent it round to a number of us, excitedly pointing out that my husband, myself and our baby were in shot.
“Except it wasn’t me. It was a woman with long dark hair who could have been me, had she not been wearing someone else’s coat and been much better groomed. It was, therefore, Another Woman.”
However, Silverman was quick to shut down the suggestion that her husband was having an affair, explaining: “Now, I have every confidence that if my husband were to have an affair, it’s unlikely he would pick a location so close to our house, take our baby along as a prop, and conduct the whole thing in broad daylight.”
She explained that, as episodes of the show are filmed several months before they are broadcast, her husband had at first struggled to recall who the mystery woman was, but had later identified her as a mutual friend.
The writer told friends ‘panic over’, but one pal wasn’t quite so convinced, saying: “Why is the panic over just because it’s one of your friends? It’s still perfectly possible he’s cheating on you.”
Wednesday's episode of The Apprentice saw the candidates tasked with creating and selling burgers at London locations. One team set up stall at the Brixton market where Silverman's husband was seen with the mysterious other woman.
