A Game of Thrones conference is coming to London

With the eighth and final season of Game of Thrones returning next month, a conference dedicated to the beloved show is coming to the capital – and it's been designed for die hard fans.

Swooping into Shoreditch's Book Club on Sunday April 14, the event will see a load of wannabe Westeros folk meet for a day of talks, quizzes, screenings and panels to discuss their love for GoT, and celebrate the cultural legacy of the series that has entertained and shocked us for the last eight years.

The day will be divided into two sessions. The first starts at 11am and involves a host of daytime talks with academics who will debate on key topics and theories from the show, along with an annotated roster of screenings of key moments from the series to date. Advice? Make sure you've fully caught up before you go.

If that's not your style, head for the quiz that kicks off at 6pm. Expect a winner-takes-all style shindig, challenging everything from your knowledge on Dany's dragons to what Cersei did back in season six – let's face it, nobody will ever forget that.

Oh, and there will be Game of Thrones-inspired cocktails, too.

The Game of Thrones conference will be at The Book Club, 100-106 Leonard St, EC2A 4RH.
