The capital’s largest festival of outdoor performing arts returns on the longest night of the year with a spectacular line-up of free events. Artistic Director Bradley Hemmings, who was also behind last year's phenomenal Paralympic Opening Ceremony, aims to re-create the same magical atmosphere at this festival.

The festival celebrates the vibrant culture of Greenwich, Canary Wharf and Tower Hamlets and will encompass outdoor dance, theatre and circus productions.

Opening the event is bungee-assisted dance troupe Wired Aerial Theatre, whose breathtaking As The World Tipped is an epic-scale piece of outdoor storytelling set against a 12m square screen high in the sky.

Other highlights include Canary Wharf's Dancing City, the UK’s largest outdoor dance programme, Greenwich Fair, featuring acts from all over Europe, and a promenade theatre performance along Woolwich High Street.
