The Colour Run 2018: Date, times and everything you need to know

London will be alive with technicolour this weekend, with the Colour Run due to take place on Sunday July 8.

The fun-run with a difference will see hundreds of people race at Wembley Park, enjoying the celebrations as they’re covered in coloured powder on their way around the track.

The event takes place over a relatively short 5km course at the west London setting, meaning all of the family can get involved.

The start line officially opens at 11am and closes at 12.30pm, although participants will be able to limber up with a series of warm-up exercises 30 minutes beforehand.

It’s not all just about the race either. At the finish line participants can enjoy the on-site Finish Festival, with DJs bringing the party and adding more colour to proceedings.

There are other ways to get involved without taking part in the race too. Sign up to volunteer at the event and you might even get to throw colour powder at your friends and family.

The event has taken place every year in the capital since 2011. There'll be hundreds of participants involved on Sunday, so if you see crowds of people covered in colour making their way home on the tube, you'll know why.
