Watch the canine competitors from day one of Crufts

The first day of Crufts took place yesterday at Birmingham's NEC Arena

The canine world's biggest event opened for it's 126th show yesterday and features dogs of all backgrounds, breeds and sizes.

Running from March 9 to 12 the world renowned dog show is a firm favourite for Britain's dog lovers, as well as canine experts.

The event features a range of competitions such as dog agility, obedience, heelwork to music, and the acclaimed best in show.

Day one kicked off with key competitions such as agility dog of the year and advanced obedience, as well as puppy foundation displays for the audience in the main arena.

Visitors thinking of becoming dog owners have the opportunity to talk to expert breeders, rescue charities and fellow dog lovers and ask questions.

Tickets are priced from £18 and children under 12 get in free.
