The Botanist fits the Belgravia feel, but little else

Replacing the pretty average Royal Court Tavern, the Botanist offers a much, much more upmarket experience, arguably more fitting for the area.

Part of a chain that includes The Well, The Gun and The Prince Arthur, this place is aimed squarely at upmarket visitors looking for a semi-informal drinking and dining experience - with an emphasis on dining. The comprehensive drink and food menu offers a wealth of cocktails, spirits, wines and bottled beers, but if you're, thirsty and looking for satisfaction in quantity, there are only a couple of lagers, Guinness and Aspall's Cider on tap.

And, naturally, with such an emphasis on dining most of the place is devoted to feeding, so the drinking area can get crowded at the usual busy times. It's a smart, upmarket sort of place, pricey and popular with a certain (lucrative) type of tourist. If you fit this group you should be thoroughly satisfied here. However, if you seek a more authentic pub experience, there are one or two places we could suggest not too far from here, that would be somewhat more fitting.
