The Cronut craftsman has opened a branch of his NYC bakery in London

Chef Dominique Ansel and his team are bringing a little bit of French and New York flavour across the pond, with the opening of his eponymous bakery, Dominique Ansel Bakery London.

Located in Elizabeth Street in Belgravia, close to Victoria, Dominique’s first European-based bakery features a menu of signature pastries from his original shop as well as a new line of London-only items.

“We are grateful for the chance to share a little bit of what we do with our guests in London and we aim to do nothing less than our very best for them, says French-born Dominique.

“It’s always exciting to meet everyone and challenge ourselves with new creations.”

“Although I grew up in France, so close to London, I didn’t have a change to visit until I was much older. When I did, I immediately fell in love with the blend of cultures and the spirit of the city,” he added.

“With each new place we go, our team draws a huge amount of inspiration. London not only gives us access to the ingredients across all of Europe, it will also be a chance to for us to learn quite a bit along the way.”

Dominique is thrilled to bring some of his most-celebrated and long-awaited creations, including: his infamous croissant-donut hybrid - The Cronut®, DKA (Dominique’s Kouign Amann), The Cookie Shot and Frozen Smores.

And of course, one of the most exciting parts of the cafe’s opening is the exclusive London menu: Banoffee Paella, Eton Mess Lunchbox, “After the Rain” Mouse, Salted Honey Tart, Welsh Rarebit Croissant.

Dominique Ansel Bakery is open seven days a week. Monday - Saturday 8am-8pm and Sunday 9am-8pm.
