Not so handy: the pop-up demonstrates how useful toast is
Ben Norum2 August 2017

Bread has been getting a bit of a hard time of late.

If the rise in gluten free wasn’t enough, it gets a constant bashing at the hands of the clean eating crew and is increasingly eschewed by the low-carb diet brigade.

Now team bread are fighting back, with the launch of a one-day café designed to remind us all that things are #BetterWithBread.

The pop-up Toast or Hands Café is being brought about by the Bakers and Millers of Britain and will give out free unicorn toast from its site in Shoreditch throughout the day this Friday.

Free unicorn toast for all

What’s more, it will also invite those less in love with loaves to visit the café and enjoy their favourite toppings minus the toast. That means hands spread with butter and jam in a bid to show how messy things get when you cut out bread altogether.

If you fancy getting your hands on some free unicorn toast – or indeed getting some other popular toast toppings on your hands – then visit the Toast or Hands Café at New Inn Yard between 7.30am and 5pm.
