Rihanna has been renting a New York penthouse since she moved there from Los Angeles four years ago.

The singer, who recently launched a Fenty Beauty line, has reportedly been paying about $50,000 (£38,000) a month to landlord Antoine Verglas, the French fashion photographer.

Spread across the 11th and 12th floors of 129 Lafayette, on the border of Soho, Chinatown and Little Italy in Manhattan, her 4,600 sq ft apartment has a wraparound terrace, 13-foot ceilings and a view of the Empire State Building.

Verglas bought the place for £4.6 million in 2005 and has listed it since 2009 at prices ranging from £7.3 million to £14.2 million.

As Rihanna has been such a loyal tenant she has reserved it for rental purposes since 2013 but now that RiRi has decided to move out the penthouse has popped back on the market at £12.8 million.
