Occasional Home Store Autumn Fair: vintage traders, interiors fans and foodies gather at one-day design event in Winchmore Hill

On September 9, vintage traders, pop-up interiors stores, makers, florists and foodies will gather in north London's Winchmore Hill, for Occasional Home Store's Autumn Fair.

In association with interiors brand Plum & Ashby, the idea for the event was sparked when Scandi interiors blogger Rebecca Lawson (@malmo_and_moss), former Selvedge Magazine editor Beth Smith and vintage trader Sally Newman decided to bring vintage homewares, contemporary design and dedicated interiors fans to Winchmore Hill.

Particular event highlights include pop-ups from independent retailers & Hobbs (@_andhobbs) and Crouch End's interiors institution Of Special Interest (@ofspecialinterestinteriors).

Workshops include "How to style your home the modern, rustic way" and "Ten top tips to improve any room" by interior stylist Kay Prestney (@kinship_creativedc) and Shades of Grey author Kate Watson-Smyth (@mad_about_the_house).

The fair's first 20 visitors will each receive an 125ml project pot of Annie Sloan Chalk paint.

"We all wanted to bring something special to N21," says co-founder Beth Smith, "It's an event we’d like to go to ourselves – full of vintage treasure, designer makers, cake and a glass of fizz."

The Occasional Home Store is on from 10am until 4pm on Saturday 9 September at St Peter's Church, three minutes' walk from Grange Park train station.
