A new year but same old Tube...

12 April 2012

Commuters endured major disruption today as delays on the Tube and railways hit the first day back after the new year holiday.

The Jubilee line was suspended between Stratford and North Greenwich because of a broken-down train in Stratford, with delays on the rest of the route.

The Piccadilly was down between Northfields and Heathrow after a signal failure at Boston Manor.

The Northern line suffered delays between Kennington and Morden because of a trespasser on the track in Colliers Wood.

London Overground services were running late, with some trains cancelled between Stratford and Willesden Junction after night engineering work was not finished in time.

Mainline commuter company National Express ran a reduced service on its East Anglia and Stansted Express services, blaming bad weather conditions.
