Alexon shoes not walking out door

ALEXON, owner of Dolcis shoe shops and the Bay Trading clothing chain, said trading in recent weeks had been flat on last year's but put much of that down to the cold weather.

Pre-tax profits in the year to 31 January were £29.4m against £27.7m a year earlier on sales up from £398.4m to £416.4m.
