BBC's spending investigated in two reports by the National Audit Office

The BBC is being investigated for the cost of relocating its regional offices, including a new £400 million base in Manchester.

A second National Audit Office report will condemn the large number of reporters the corporation sends to events such as the Olympics.

The reports, due out in six weeks, will come shortly after the BBC insisted it had reined in lavish spending.
