1/2

This was the scene after a bendy bus crashed into a double-decker in north London in the early hours of this morning.

The accident happened at about 4am when an N29 night bus bound for Enfield, operated by Arriva, collided with a No 390 heading for Notting Hill Gate, operated by Metroline.

Both vehicles were badly damaged in the crash which happened between Camden Road and York Way, causing travel delays on one of the area's busiest intersections.

Six people suffered minor injuries including whiplash.

Transport for London has launched an investigation. Both drivers, who were among those taken to hospital, were given the rest of the day off before speaking to TfL investigators.

Camden Road was closed for about four hours.
