Bidders shop for Marks & Spencer

MARKS & Spencer's disastrous trading results have prompted prospective bidders to start circling the troubled retail chain, The Business newspaper reports.

US buyout specialists Kohlberg Kravis Roberts and UK retail entrepreneur are among those believed to be considering bids for the group.

Although a firm bid is unlikely to materialise in the short term, M&S's woes have apparently prompted the buyout specalists to re-examine the possibility of bidding.
