Chefs help Soho school in a stew

Helping hand: Chef Mark Hix is involved in a fundraising event for a Soho school

Some of London's top chefs are to hold a one-off food event to raise money for a struggling Soho primary school.

Chefs including Mark Hix, Alan Yau, Russell Norman and the Hart brothers will cook dishes for about £2 a portion and give cookery demonstrations at the event, in St Anne's Gardens, Wardour Street, on June 25.

Soho Parish School headmistress Rachel Earnshaw said the school, which has 145 pupils, has been hit hard by cuts.
