Cleanaway facing price-fixing probe

CLEANAWAY, the waste disposal group owned by Brambles, is being investigated as part of a price-fixing probe into Germany's packaging recycling scheme. Investigators want to know why several operators failed to bid against each other in more than half the areas that were up for re-tendering. Brambles said it only bid for the same number it already has as it did not want to expand its e130m (£91.3m) a year business.
