12 April 2012

Commuters endured severe disruption today as emergency services dealt with what is believed to have been an attempted suicide at Waterloo station.

There were delays in and out of the station with some trains beginning and terminating at Clapham Junction. They continued into the afternoon.

The man found on the tracks was being treated in hospital for his injuries which were not believed to be life-threatening.

There were also problems across the Tube network.

Flooding meant that District and Circle line services were unable to operate at Victoria station.

A faulty train at Great Portland Street led to delays to Metropolitan, Circle and Hammersmith & City line services.

There was also a faulty train at Mile End which caused Central line disruption.
