Cruise liner plan for Greenwich

A terminal for cruise liners could be built on the Thames in Greenwich.

It would be part of a redevelopment of derelict Enderby Wharf, including a 250-room hotel, 750 homes, and a renovation of listed Enderby House.

Plans by Ian Simpson Architects for developer West Properties will be submitted to Greenwich council.

The London Development Agency has said the river is deep enough for liners, and the new terminal could be used as a river bus stop by Thames Clippers.

Enderby Wharf was previously occupied by Glass Elliot & Co, which made the first underwater telegraph cable, laid under the Atlantic in 1865.
