THE Daily Mail and General Trust said trading at its DMG Information division continues to be in line with the group's December statement.

DMGI operations are proving robust, except Study Group's US business, where the US attacks reduced student numbers.

In a City presentation, DMGI managing director Martin Morgan said the division, which employs 3,500, has been built up over five years at a cost of £265m, which may rise to £300m after earn-out payments.

The two main areas are careers (information and tuition to students) and business to business (niche information in insurance and property). Turnover in the year to September was £202m, with £15m operating profits.
