She is a top barrister, the wife of the Prime Minister, a mother of four and now, it seems, the hottest sound on the dance floor.

Cherie Blair's recent rendition of The Beatles' When I'm 64 has been reworked into a dance track which is proving a hit with British tourists in Ibiza and Ayia Napa.

A music industry source said: 'The tune has taken off in a big way in the nightclubs all over Europe. It was treated as a joke but it's now a big favourite on the dance floor.

It's hilarious to think it, but Cherie could become the sound of the summer.' The track made it on to turntables after it was mailed anonymously to key figures in the dance scene.

Mrs Blair showed off her perfect pitch to students in Beijing last month. It is unclear, however, whether Mrs Blair would be entitled to any royalties if it becomes a hit.
