Intel to build £240m Chinese factory

CHIP giant Intel is to spend $375m (£240m) on a new assembly and test plant in China. Construction would begin in the second half of next year and was expected to be completed in 2005, said spokesman Chuck Mulloy. 'China has been our fastest-growing market for the last couple of years,' he said.
