Kwik Save drag but Somerfield gains

SUPERMARKETS group Somerfield is trading 'in line with management's expectations' despite a recent near-5% fall in sales at its Kwik Save chain. Sales for the first quarter to 16 August were up by 2% at the Somerfield chain while those of Kwik Save were down by 1.5%. Group like-for-like sales rose 0.5%.
