Machete attacker kills two
A Machete-wielding attacker killed two men and left another fighting for his life.
The victims were hacked several times in the head at a house of bedsits in Bedford.
The third man managed to flee to a local pub, where he collapsed in the doorway, covered in blood. A Bedfordshire police spokesman said: "He remains in critical condition."
An officer who discovered the bodies at about 5.15pm yesterday said it was the most horrifying scene he had ever witnessed.
A man has been arrested and is still being questioned by police.
Sean Malone, 18, a barman at the pub where the injured man collapsed, said he was still in shock.
" I heard banging and opened the door," he added. "In the doorway was a man - he was stabbed all over. I've never seen anything so horrific."
