Morrison favourite in Safeway race

SUPERMARKETS group Wm Morrison is odds-on favourite to buy Safeway, according to JP Morgan, one of the few City banks not to have an advisory role in the race for the supermarkets chain. The Competition Commission is examining Morrison's offer and potential bids from Sainsbury's, Tesco and Asda.
