New Heathrow dispute...

A fresh dispute at Heathrow Airport is threatening disruption for holidaymakers, it was revealed today.

The Transport and General Workers Union said it was involved in a row over jobs and pay with Swissport which provides ground handling services for up to 40 airlines.

The union said it was considering holding a ballot for industrial action in protest at restructuring plans which would lead to job losses.

In addition the union said it was also involved in a row over pay.

The company employs baggage handlers and other ground staff at Heathrow and provides services for airlines including Aer Lingus, Swiss Air and Malaysian Airways.
