Pc facing robbery charges

A police officer will appear in court today charged with assisting in a robbery and theft.

Pc Dustin Hunter, 29, of Surrey police, was arrested at Clacket Lane service station on the M25 motorway on Saturday morning by Surrey officers following an intelligence-led investigation.

Pc Hunter was previously based at Banstead Police Station and is currently suspended from duty, a Surrey Police spokesman said.

He is due to appear at Woking Magistrates' Court, charged with encouraging or assisting the commission of an offence, namely robbery, two counts of theft of police uniforms and one count of theft of a post office uniform.
