£2m boost for Northgate Information

12 April 2012

SOFTWARE company Northgate Information Systems will this week announce that it has won local authority contracts worth more than £2m. Four have signed up for its ResourceLink package, which covers payroll, personnel, pensions administration, training, occupational health and safety. The deal with Kensington & Chelsea is worth more than £1m and will go live in April, providing services for the council's 6,000 employees.

Northgate has also won a £700,000 contract from the Highland Council in Inverness as well as deals totalling £600,000 with Southampton city council and Wrexham borough council. Northgate said: 'We are delighted at our success in the local government marketplace.'

The company's public-sector success will ease worries about slowing demand from its business customers, highlighted with its interim results last month.
