Skins star Kathryn Prescott’s stage debut

2 October 2013

Kathryn Prescott, who played Emily Fitch in Skins, will make her professional stage debut this month in another gritty drama at Southwark, The Love Girl And The Innocent by Alexander Solzhenitsyn.

Prescott, 22, of Palmers Green, plays Lyuba, the “love girl”, a woman in a Russian prison camp who gives her body to a camp doctor in return for food and better conditions but finds the transaction wrecks her chance of love with a new inmate. She said: “She’s a really strong character. She has to put her basic human need for food ahead of needs like love.”

The play runs from October 9 to November 2. southwarkplayhouse.co.uk
