Stagecoach in Boston railways bid

STAGECOACH, operator of South West Trains and co-owner of Virgin Trains, plans to run railways in the US. The company, which owns troubled Coach USA, has been shortlisted for a five-year contract to run commuter railways serving Boston.

It is bidding with US rail engineer Herzog. London commuter trains operator Connex, which runs buses in the US too, is also bidding.
