Three held over Matrix killing plot

Three teenagers obsessed with Hollywood film The Matrix have been arrested in the United States hours before a planned killing spree.

All three had rifles and shotguns strapped to their backs and handguns tucked in their waistbands. They were also carrying swords, knives and more than 2,000 rounds of ammunition.

The teenagers were also wearing trenchcoats like their hero in the science fiction films. Police say the New Jersey trio, aged 18, 15 and 14, were planning to randomly kill in the streets.
