Thugs help injured boy then rob him

12 April 2012

Shocking footage has emerged of thugs helping an injured teenager to his feet before robbing him during the riots.

The unknown teenager was filmed dazed and bleeding from a head wound as he lay against a wall during disturbances in Barking.

A gang of youths break away from the mayhem and help him stand up. However, three of them then start rifling through the teenager's backpack as their friends stand in front of him chatting.

One white thug (pictured) dressed in white trainers, blue jeans and a black cap is seen lifting an object out of the rucksack before swaggering off.

He is joined by other masked hoodlums as he walks off laughing.

The victim eventually staggers away down the road. The video has attracted almost 1,500 comments on YouTube.

A person called "Uberrana" wrote: "Looting itself is unethical but to loot from a defenceless, injured person is just inhumane. These people should be ashamed of themselves. This is unbelievable."

"LenKenny" commented: "All it takes for evil to triumph is for good men to do nothing."

In response, another quoted a scene from The Dark Knight when the butler, played by Michael Caine, warns Batman about the anarchist Joker, saying: "Some people just want to see the world burn."
