Unions to give strike poll result

Dick Murray12 April 2012

The results of two strike ballots taking place among London Underground's 3,000 train drivers will be declared late this afternoon.

It is expected that both results, organised by the Tube's two main unions, Aslef and the RMT, will be in favour of industrial action following a long running dispute over pay.

Union leaders said the dates of the strikes would not be announced with the result. The days may be announced tomorrow and the first stoppages could take place from early March.
