US Airways misses Airbus payment

AIRLINE US Airways will miss a £17m payment on 14 Airbus aircraft today as its attempts to emerge from bankruptcy suffered from stalled talks on a new pension plan for pilots and a collapse in forward bookings - down 40% on last week. It said it expects to negotiate a resolution on the Airbus payment.
