What's the buzz? Newsflash: Matte eyeshadow is more flattering than the shiny stuff. This is my big make-up discovery of 2014, so I was happy to find this palette of six taupe-based matte shades. Naked2 is the follow-up to the original Naked palette and these shades are cooler than their older sister, ranging from beige to dark brown. There’s something for all skin tones here — you just need to work out which shades to put where on your eye to bring out the best in your peepers.
The shades feel light and creamy and blend well and their neutral hues mean that you can wear any colour lipstick with them. Tip: if you want extra eyeliner drama, don’t spoil the lovely matte look with a liquid — use a pencil instead and then go over the line with Undone, the darkest shade in the pack.
There’s also a matching brush, Naked Basics, which is double-ended for applying blending and smudging. Very handy for application on the go, although the smudging brush is just a bit too thick to create a neat eyeliner effect — you need to use it on an angle to get a thinner line.
