Meet mini-Nicola Adams OBE, the boxer Barbie doll creating a stern contrast to Barbie’s classic dolls.

A Barbie doll collaboration featuring an Olympic Gold medallist is one we might not have expected. However, the launch of Barbie’s ‘Shero’ programme makes boxing champion Nicola Adams OBE the first ever UK ‘Shero’ AND boxer Barbie doll.

Nicola Adams OBE reveals her honour: ‘Having my own Barbie is so amazing and my hope is that everything I do helps more people realise they can do anything they put their mind to. Without my own role models, I wouldn’t be where I am today”.

The ‘Shero’ programme sees Nicola Adams OBE amongst 14 other females who have been honoured by Barbie. “Empowering the next generation of kids is something I’m passionate about and it’s great to work with Barbie to share my story"’ says Adams.

With International Women’s Day around the corner, the Barbie ‘Shero’ programme hopes to recognise hard working, strong and innovative women in order to inspire generations to follow. See barbie.com/rolemodels for the full line-up and ‘Shero’ programme.
